I decided upon teaching as a career whilst studying Economics at University College, London. Having come to the realisation that I didn't want to follow most of my peers into an office environment where I'd be sitting at a desk for most of my life, I started looking for something more fulfilling and education certainly seemed to fit the bill. So, I took on a PGCE at the Institute of Education in London including training placements at Cator Park School in Beckenham and St Olave's in Orpington. My first full-time teaching post was at Coulsdon College, where I taught A-Level Economics and A-Level and BTEC National Business. Next I moved on to Whitgift, where I stayed for three years before taking my first middle management role as Head of Economics at Tiffin Boys' School in Kingston. After two years finding my feet in a subject leadership role as well as developing their website I felt ready to take on a larger department, which brought me to the position as Head of Economics & Business at Trinity School, Croydon. Most receently, I joined North London Collegiate School, Jeju, South Korea as Head of Sixth Form in 2017 and have since become Vice Principal (Academic).

Outside of work my main hobby is photography and I have even taken on one or two weddings for friends and family, but most of my shots are candids of people and animals as well as new places and interesting things I see when I'm out and about. Do have a look at the Photography pages and let me know what you think.

I'm also increasingly developing an interest in typography and other aspects of graphic and web design. Obviously I have themed this very site, though the backend is taken care of by the excellent Koken. I certainly don't consider myself accomplished in this field just yet, but thoroughly enjoy it. Again, it's always good to get feedback so do get in touch and let me know what you think.

Thanks for reading - I hope you enjoy the site and look forward to hearing from you.
